Born in 1941 in Chiniot, Punjab, Mansha grew up in a family with deep roots in the textile industry. After completing his early education at Sacred Heart Convent in Faisalabad, he pursued business administration at Hendon College, London. Returning to Pakistan in 1968, Mansha inherited the family business after his father’s passing, quickly demonstrating his entrepreneurial acumen.
Under his leadership, Nishat Group expanded its textile operations, establishing the country’s largest fabric manufacturing complex. He capitalized on privatization initiatives in the 1990s, acquiring Adamjee Insurance, two thermal power plants, and MCB Bank, which he transformed into one of Pakistan’s most profitable institutions. His ventures span textiles, banking, insurance, energy, and infrastructure, including international projects in Indonesia, the Middle East, and Kazakhstan.
Mansha’s partnership with Maybank in 2008 brought $970 million in foreign investment to Pakistan, highlighting his ability to foster global collaborations.
