Muhammad Nassir Salim is a highly experienced banker with 36 years of expertise in domestic and international banking. He has worked in the USA, Abu Dhabi, and Pakistan with renowned institutions such as American Express Bank, Citigroup, and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank.

Since joining HBL in 2017, Nassir has played a significant role in the bank’s growth and transformation. Starting as Head of Global Operations, he was later promoted to Head of Branch and Islamic Banking. Before assuming the position of President & CEO in March 2024, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of HBL, demonstrating his strong leadership and operational capabilities.

In addition to his role at HBL, Nassir has contributed to Pakistan’s financial sector as Director at the Central Depository Company of Pakistan Limited and Chairman of the Board at HBL Currency Exchange.

Nassir holds an MBA in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi, where he earned a Finance Gold Medal for academic excellence. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Bankers Pakistan (IBP).
